This will be a monthly account of my road back into the musical realm, in all its planning, fears, incredible highs, and confusion. Miss it too much to just let it go. In the past nine years I saw myself aging with very little creative output, and it truly frightened me that time could be so fleeting. To a certain degree it was watching my son Ivan turning out song after song and simply giving himself to the process with such dedication and courage, that I felt greatly inspired. It’s just so cool to see him come full circle from boy to man in all aspects, especially as a musician. I believe everyone has some degree of artistry in them, and to deny its release would be a great shame.

Well, here it goes!
Enjoy:-)
-February 2013
-Den

After the warm support and positive feedback from so many of you, I just couldn’t halt the creative process. I guess hibernating those 8-9 years brought this new flood of songwriting to the forefront. Through the many performances during the Racing With Alydar promotion, I dug deeper to find stories in the news and between people I’ve met to tell singular stories that conveyed the delicate balance of living and dying. This double album tells these stories as an observer rather than a participant, and for the first time I began to fit into the new “skin” of others whose stories I have found so compelling and starkly beautiful.
