Miss it too much to just let it go. In the past nine years I saw myself aging with very little creative output, and it truly frightened me that time could be so fleeting. To a certain degree it was watching my son Ivan turning out song after song and simply giving himself to the process with such dedication and courage, that I felt greatly inspired. It’s just so cool to see him come full circle from boy to man in all aspects, especially as a musician. I guess hibernating those 8-9 years brought this new flood of songwriting to the forefront. Through the many performances during the Racing With Alydar promotion, I dug deeper to find stories in the news and between people I’ve met to tell singular stories that conveyed the delicate balance of living and dying.
